The Dancing Striker
I know I shouldn’t lampoon people striking for a (barely) living wage, but really, this woman’s performance is too good to let go. So I’ve decoded her dance steps for you, and worked out what her message to the government really is.
Basically, it’s ‘bite me’.
Thanks to the inimitable Demelza Bush for shooting and editing this for me.

I facepalmed so hard my nose bled…
uh… thank you. I guess. Facepalmed? Don’t even tell me.

*sigh*
I’m so angry, I need to dance.
hahahahaha, that was hilarious…. loved it, thanks, we need some comic relief with all the violence that is going on in the name of the strike..
Holy crap Chris. This is one of your finest moments.
Oh my Gaaawd!
But chris WTF??? Do they really do this? Damn them for doing this to our country and their own people. Such narrow mindedness makes me furious.
well, it’s not that serious. One woman dancing doesn’t invalidate the entire strike. When you have a million people on strike, one or two will be out of control. If this even is out of control – what do I know, it might be a legitimate expression.
Well, I wouldn’t say finest. Or even funniest. I’ll go with toe-tappingly evocative.
So THAT’S facepalming. Where have I been.
I agree with Chris, there are a million people on strike and this one person is not indicative of everyone on strike. Easy on the heated indignation. This is hugely entertaining. Inbetween my facepalming I managed to laugh for hours. Thank you Chris we need some humour on a Friday.
We need humour EVERY day. Thanks Rose.
I haven’t seen a single non-obese striker yet. They may be under paid but most certainly not under fed. Maybe I’m watching the wrong news channels…
Unfortunately, obesity is usually related to poverty. The cheapest food is what makes us fat.
Like KFC?
KFC is way cheaper than actually having a kitchen, I guess. But I have sympathy for those who are poor. Not that it’ll stop me criticising if they disrupt essential services and so on.
