Whoops, I got it a bit wrong there. I saw that chess exhibition in 2003 and the Yoko Ono set is not at all as I described it. Same principle, though. All the pieces and the board are white. Can't remember many of them now, but this one would certainly NOT be among them. One intriguing (if a bit predictable coming from her) was Yoko Ono's take on the game. The game was all about making love not war (you know, I'll mate your queen and you can take three of my favourite porns) and I seem to remember the design of the board was based on the ying and yang symbol. It's all so vague now. My memory is shot. All I can remember is enjoying looking at the sets by Duchamp and co. Not something I can say about above.
